For the achievement of the relevant outcomes and objectives expected from RENACER, a coordination of 5 multidisciplinary groups with diverse backgrounds and expertise was stablished:

CNIO Biobank

Collection logistics (samples and data), sample processing, data curation, repository management, traceability, ethical-legal issues (informed consent, management of ethical evaluations, management of the use of samples in research).

CNIO Brain Metastasis Group

Translational part: Biological, molecular and genetic characterization of brain metastasis and microenvironment; Patient-derived organotypic cultures, preclinical models, functional experiments, drug-screening; immunotherapies biomarkers and therapies validation.

CNIO Bioinformatics

Omics and bioinformatic analysis; clinical interpretation of genomic and transcriptional alterations relevance.

Hospital U. 12 de Octubre, Neuro-Oncology group

Clinical data curation/ Neurocognitive implementation, cognitive and QoL assessment.

UCML Mathematical Oncology Laboratory

Radiomics, machine learning and simulation mathematical models. Drug response prediction in Brain metastasis, non-invasive assessment of the disease status. Virtual patients. In-silico trials.
